About Dragon Palace

Located at 336 W Maple St Ste 2, New Lenox, IL 60451, Dragon Palace operates as a chinese restaurant serving New Lenox in Illinois. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 am–9 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Not sure how the rating is as high as it is. Maybe a lack of options in the area? Today I picked up lunch from here for the first and last time. The lobby looks pretty rough, leaving the cleanliness of the kitcken (the part the customers can't see) up to the imagination. I briefly considered throwing the food out and eating elsewhere, but my curiosity got the best of me. The sauce for the orange chicken was okay but the chicken itself was questionable at best. It was pretty dry and one piece tasted undercooked. Eggdrop soup was pretty bland and the fried rice was very dry and flavorless, as if it was made the day before. Overall, very disappointing. Nice woman at the counter though.

I’ve been craving Chinese for the past week or so, so one of my co workers recommended this place today and I decided to try it out after reading more good reviews on it and I must say I’m impressed. I ordered the beef & broccoli lunch special and I’m enjoying every bite. I stopped mid meal to make this review. I will be returning soon.

Unfortunately the food I received was displeasing and tasteless! I ordered Thai basil fried rice w/chicken and it is horribly dry and has zero flavor. The pan fried noodles I ordered is the same; extremely dry and has zero seasoning! I paid $27.96 for this food, and a total of $42.67 with the Door Dash fees and tip. I kindly ask that you simply refund the $27.96 or give a coupon of equal amount. Please make this right so I can leave a positive review as it saddens me that I had to leave a negative review. However, I am unable to consume this food! I must trash all of it in fear of harming my digestive system and it taste horrible.

We loved sue and Jim who sued to own this place. It’s never been the same since they have left. But it is still a great place to get Chinese takeout

I ordered a chicken lo mein and pot stickers. The lo mein literally had about 6 tic tac size pieces of chicken and was super oily. The potstickers were HUGE which wouldve been great if they were actually fully cooked, the inside was basically raw. The total they gave me over the phone including delivery also didnt match my printed total when the delivery driver came it was like 5 bucks more than expected.
